IMM’s Work Presented at the 2024/2025 CEPOL Conference

In March 2025, Prof. Dr. Anna-Maria Getoš Kalac, Head of the Croatian Independent Monitoring Mechanism (IMM) presented IMM’s work at the 2024/2025 CEPOL conference titled “Tackling the World of High-Risk Criminal Networks (HRCN)”. The invited key-note speech was part of the session on “Witnesses and victims of HRCN” and focused on combining scientific research, operational insights, and a transdisciplinary approach, with the aim to enhance the capacity of law enforcement and judicial agencies to play an informed and leading role in setting up National Monitoring Mechanisms (NMNs) under the new Pact on Migration and Asylum in their respective countries, while discussing the prospective benefits of a joint European NMN methodology as the very foundation of much needed evidence-based policies.
