IMM meets with EUAA representatives
In Zagreb, on 25 November 2025, a brief working meeting was held between representatives of the IMM and a delegation of the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA), Paul Vidal and Lavinia Pretto from the Information and Analysis Sector (IAS). The meeting took place as part of the EUAA’s working mission to the Republic of Croatia (24-27 November).
The IMM was represented by Ms Selma Ilić, Deputy Head of the Coordination Board. The discussion opened with an overview of the IMM’s mandate, the IMM’s structure, and the IMM’s core duties and 10under the Cooperation Agreement, as well as its working methods in monitoring police conduct in the context of border surveillance, irregular migration and international protection.
With the EUAA representatives, the parties reviewed topics the Agency regularly covers in its reports, including developments in the field of international protection, detention and returns, as well as other issues the IMM considers relevant from a fundamental-rights perspective. The meeting was conducted in a constructive spirit, with mutual interest in continued information exchange in line with the applicable legal framework and respective mandates.
